Vegetable Fried Rice Recipe | How to make easy Chinese Veg Fried Rice

Vegetable fried rice recipe is indo-Chinese dish which contains vegetable saute with rice and some basic Chinese sauces.
  • 1 cup rice
  • ½ cup finely chopped beans
  • ½ cup finely chopped carrots
  • 1 cup finely chopped cabbage
  • ⅓ cup red bell pepper
  • ⅓ cup green bell pepper
  • ⅓ cup yellow bell pepper
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • Half tbsp ginger paste
  • Half tbsp garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp oil (sesame oil or olive oil)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp red chili sauce
  • 1 tsp vinegar (optional)
  1. Boil 3-4 cups of water in sauce pan, add 1 cup rice and let it cook for 10-15 minutes. Once it is cooked, drain the access water and let it cool down.
  2. Meanwhile start cutting all vegetables. You can use different vegetables also. But carrot and beans goes perfectly well in this recipe.
  3. To cook vegetable fried rice, take wok or nonstick pan add 2 tbsp oil into it. once it is heated add ginger and garlic paste and let it cook for say 30 seconds.
  4. First add carrots, beans and cabbage and let it cook on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Then add all other vegetables like bell papers and onion and let them cook for another 2-3 minutes on high heat.
  5. Add salt and pepper powder as per your taste.
  6. Then add soy sauce and red chili sauce. Give a nice stir.
  7. Finally add cooked rice and mix it well. Cook for just one minutes and your rice is ready to serve.
1) You can serve it as dinner, lunch or for kids' lunchbox also.
2) It goes best with some worm soup or some Manchurian gravy or balls.
